and Hundreds-
Rounding to nearest hundreds
- Look at the digit in the tens place
of the number. - If the digit in the tens place is 5 or greater, round up.Otherwise, round down.
- Rounding up - add 1 to the digit in hundreds place
- Rounding down - Keep the digit in the hundreds place as it is
- Example: Rounding 8376 to
nearest hundreds
- Look at the digit in the tens place
