The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins tells the story of Katniss Everdeen, a teenage girl who volunteers to take her younger sister’s place in a fight-to-the-death competition sponsored by the nation’s government. She’s placed in an arena with twenty-three other teenagers, and each of them must survive the elements while hunting each other. In the end, only one can survive because it is the desire of their government that only one survives.
