Lyric and Ramona like to bake cookies with Mother. They bake what Lyric calls “crisscross” cookies. They are peanut butter cookies.

Mother heats the oven. They mix the dough. Lyric, Ramona and Mother put spoonfuls on the cookie sheet. They use a fork to make patterns on the dough. Then Mother puts the cookie sheet in the oven.

One time, Lyric forget to tell her mother it was time to take them out. The cookies burned.

Mother went to the store and bought a timer for cooking.

Now, Lyric makes sure that Ramona helps set the timer. They do not have to worry about the cookies burning anymore.
