Sometimes students work in groups. They may work in groups where they do not know the other group members very well or at all. This can be a problem if they do not know how to work together and get along. There are many ways that can help you to get along in a group and get the work done, too. Here are a few tips.

• Have each team member write down their name and 3 good things about themselves.

• Let each member share what they wrote.

• The other team members clap and encourage each member when they are finished.

• Then have each member tell one thing they want to learn in the group. Share these ideas.

• Greet each member every day with a smile, say hello and say their name.

• If a team member is not nice, first ignore, then let them know the team will not have that behavior and report it to the teacher.

• Assign tasks for each team member.
