Writing Task 1

Here are some reminders for when you are completing this Writing Task:

• Using the situation given below as a guide, write a story in your own words
• You may take notes, create a web, or do other prewriting work. Then, write your story on a sheet of paper
• After you complete your composition, read whatever you have written. Make sure that your writing is the best it can be
• After writing your answer click on the appropriate radio button

Writing Situation: The park in your area has only one tennis court. It is always crowded and one has to wait at least two hours before getting a chance to play.

Writing Task: Write a persuasive letter to your mayor requesting more tennis courts in your area. In your letter, be sure to describe the situation and explain the reasons why you need more tennis courts.
