Mrs. Reed’s talk to the class on the following day.

“Class, I have organized and reviewed our discussion from yesterday regarding student notebooks.

The following is a summary of our discussion and the decisions I made on how to correctly organize your notebooks.

1. Each of you will have a three ring binder with 7 tabs.

2. There will be a tab for Class Schedule, English, Math, Science, Social Studies, Homework, and Parent Correspondence.

3. I will give each of you the Class Schedule to place behind the first tab.

4. You will place at least 20 sheets of notebook paper behind the tabs for English, Math, Science, and Social Studies.

5. Behind the Homework tab, you will insert the daily homework that I pass out at the end of each course daily.

6. I will also give you the pages to insert for the Parent Correspondence.

7. Every morning you will place your notebooks on your desk for my review.

8. You will be allowed to decorate your notebook with pictures of your choice as long as they are appropriate for school.

9. I will be available to help any of you with your notebooks, as needed.”
